What is Food Science and Nutrition coarse?

Food science and nutrition, is not just about being told what to eat and not to eat. It is basically about the study of chemical and biological components of food and how the processing and ingredients of the food or product affects our health, psychology, economy and culture since it touches the social aspect. Generally, research  were made and it was realized how important it is to eat well balanced meals. This means that careers opportunities in this field are at an all time high such as dietitian, nutritionist, food service manager, food researcher, processor and scientists just to mention a few.
Although it is a difficult and challenging coarse, it helps make people to be wise in food choices regarding nutritive value, to know the role played by essential nutrients in maintenance of good health and treatment of common health problems such as obesity, cancer etc. Having done this coarse one get to know food that are good for their health, amount to be consumed that is need by the body and how to prepare food that are of importance to the body. Lastly good hygiene.


Always ask yourself this before you take something into your mouth;
Why do i choose to eat this, what effect does it have to my body? :)
It is important to take note of what you eat while still young because the food we consume now are the one making us sick when we get older and also reduce our lifespan.
